Metamorphology: Jenn

And here's another one of Metamorphaxx's characters... Jenn.  She doesn't undergo a mutation per se, but she does transform from an ordinary poor person into a pampered celebrity goddess.  Which is also strange and traumatic?

Chapter 1
I
have lost the sight of God for the powers of a new age are before me.
Never have I wanted for anything like this, and never have I known
such wisdom. This age has lost more than it has gained, yet it is a
better world for it. Remember not your yesterdays or your loved ones
long gone. To live now, is to live unhindered. Go forth and bask in
the light provided by this pact, take your place in this, the new
age.

     Chapter two
I have become careless. The New World is before me, yet I am stuck in my old ways. I cling to the hedonism, cry out for indulgence, and bare envy towards anyone with a small glimmer of joy in their life. The passion for a greater existence has faded, I am left yearning for what once lied clearly in front of me. Hear me now great spirits, impart with me the power to bring back hope. Even if my cries go unheard, I will change this world, this forsaken world.
“Lady Scarlett.” Andre Yollis pushed off the ally wall he had been leaning on for the last few minutes.
“Loyal customer 372, how can I assist you today?” The drug lord chimed as she stepped out from the shadows of a grimier ally way to come.
“I was kinda hoping you had some of that 'white grass' that has been going around.”
