Description
A commission for Mori-Tohsaka.
Ramona is a research intern at her university's biology department, which has an ongoing research project in experimenting with synthetic, organically generated augmentations to the human body. Say you're paralyzed, you've lost part of a limb, et cetera--you can grab some of the stuff they're working on and have it reshape to and interface with your nervous system and bam, temporary replacement leg! It's fast-acting, so you could theoretically use it in, say, war zones to get injured soldiers to safety, et cetera.
And so her university's working on "growing" these sorta organic augments. There's a few different kinds -- some are designed to adapt to the water, some to flying/gliding at high altitudes, et cetera--and she's one that's code-named Tiamat, after the Babylonian goddess of the ocean. And it kinda...over-compensates? She sticks her hand into the augment (which I imagine is some kinda small vial of gooey substance) and it flips out, develops its own consciousness, and starts transforming her, all fish-like. (Cue form two?) And then, Ramona says "hey, this is actually the coolest" and it goes full-out symbiote on her -- cue form three, Tiamat Ramona!
