HEY THERE PEOPLE!

I don't like to ever "close commissions," but i feel that i kind of have to at the moment. So many are in the works, and i'm thrilled to do each one. Here is my list...

-- The Slug Transformation Comic 6 pages
-- Kamenmaster's Chie Sumo Girl Weight Gain Sequence (5 pics)
-- Prodigal-Gamer's Slaves/Service Droid
-- Esper Terra Bonus Pics for Kainazzo
-- Bonnie and Liquidboy for TheLiquidBoy
-- Ariel/Jasmine Aquatic Chimera Merge for Ne0natomy

-- Time Gal Mud Man Transformation Comic for AdamTheJoker
-- Glunda and Dolan for Curtsibling
-- Tiamab + Crew (5-10 pics) for KaijuDuke
-- Fiora Xenogears Sequence for Lusafina
-- Malary Wolf Versions (2 pics) for Uberlord01
-- Possible Fungus Commission for Thrandrall?

.
.
...wow. Did i leave anyone out? I'm flying by the seat of my pants here.

A couple of those comics are gonna be MASSIVE.

I just... i just feel like i shouldn't agree to take any more on until some of this is cleared. I absolutely hate telling people "yes, i'll draw that, but you have to wait three months." I want to start everything now, now!

^__^

What do you think, guys? Can we kind of put a pin in this for now, and watch me work like all hell for the next few months?

Glory awaits!

2017: The Year That's Still Mostly in the Future

Journal Entry: Mon Jan 9, 2017, 7:54 PM
Locations of Site Visitors

OKAY.

2017.

Last year was rough, and i was very busy a lot of the time with annoying "real-world" type stuff.  But all that is mostly over... except that i might have to take a week off so we can FINALLY paint the trim in this darned house.  We were supposed to do that a long time ago, and it has to happen at some point.

2017, though, is gonna be a great year.  How do i know?  Because 2009 and 2013 were both strangely awesome years, so... numerically speaking, every fourth year is a good one.  Maybe!

But oh, i am so excited with all these things i'm working on.  Last year, i  made the acquaintance of about five new fans who plan to commission me to do a lot of ongoing projects.  Iguara is just the beginning!

You know who you guys are, and i deeply appreciate your interest in my work and i hope i don't ever let you down.  I'm itching to start on the Slug Comic, the Time Gal Comic, the Chie Sequence, and all these other sweet ideas...

Of course, there's also Patreon to talk about!

The 12 Perfect Onis by Chronorin  Slime Furries on Gumroad by Chronorin

....after several massive projects, i'm scaling back my Patreon offerings to a more reasonable 3-4 pics per month, rather than 6-8.  This is to give me more time to work on commissions.  I've also lowered the price for basic access from $10 to only $5, so if you hesitated before to support my work, it's a lot easier now.

One of the biggest Patron-supported Projects that i'll be starting on very soon is THE DISNEY PRINCESS TRANSFORMATION SERIES.
I'm so excited for this.  I've been brainstorming with my new pal Ne0natomy, and we've come up with a list of ideas.... starting with Beast Belle and Caterpillar Alice all the way to Shark Moana and a Snitch-ified Lilo & Nani.

Basically, if you want to see me draw damn near every Disney Princess in a cute mutated form inspired by something in their universe, this is the year for that.  The mutated cuteness will be off the charts.

^___^

I might have the next two days off, and that's what i'll be starting on.  Patrons, you are in for some great stuff.

2017, baby.  Let's make it the best year ever.

2016 -- The Year That Certainly Was, Wasn't it?

Journal Entry: Mon Dec 26, 2016, 9:42 AM
Locations of Site Visitors

Well, the year 2016 is finally over.  The consensus seems to be that this was a pretty rotten year for the world at large.  For me, it was mostly good... mostly.

2016 was without a doubt, the busiest and craziest year of my life in a long time.  This means that i haven't felt the usual "where does the time go, i can't believe the year is already over" feeling that one usually does.  What happened in my life this year?

I moved with my brother to a new house in a new town that i had never even heard of.  Painted his house and did a ton of other move-related type activities that never seemed to end.

I started a Patreon account and a Gumroad account, and was overwhelmed at the support I got so far... and began focusing on the goal of being a fan-supported artist.

I learned to make videos using Audacity, Bandicam, and Lightworks (all free programs!  Hot damn!)  I started the Audimated Thought Youtube Channel with my best friend.  Has it been a raging viral success so far?  Nope.  But i LOVE doing it and i totally suprised myself with how much i've learned in such a short time.  Now i feel like i can do anything.

I spent a lot of money on repairs and maintenance for my car, which was pretty horrible overall... but my car is running better.  So there's that.

In January, we had a massive snowstorm that left my workplace blockaded by snow for four very memorable days.  Man... that was in January, but it feels like YEARS ago.

In August, i finally transferred back to Workplace K, which put an end to over a year of being shunted from place to place.  Workplace K is a great place... with the exception of Carl.  Apart from that joker, everything there is sweet and awesome.

My fellow supernerd coworker Punyon got fired and Cole quit.  They will be missed.

In November, my brother's girlfriend moved in... with her dog. And my brother got another dog.  So now there's three humans and four dogs in this little house.  Every day is an adventure.

Somehow, i even found the time to read The Earthsea Quartet and all five books of A Song of Ice and Fire.  I feel like i never read for longer than ten minutes at a time, but i still got through them somehow.  Now where is The Winds of Winter, George R. R. Martin?  Where?

Big Dumb Theater Movies of 2016: Deadpool, X-Men Apocalypse, Suicide Squad, Rogue One.

Best TV Shows I Saw in 2016: Gravity Falls (holy shit so good...).  Steven Universe.  Better Call Saul.  The Miraculous Adventures of Ladybug & Cat Noir.  Belle & Sebastian.  Game of Thrones.

Best Music Albums of 2016: Everything else is dwarfed by the infinite genius of BT's untitled "___" album, as well as his All Hail the Silence EP.  That is the pinnacle of music.  But there were other great records, like After Death by Gladkill, A Moon Shaped Pool by Radiohead, Junk by M83, David Bowie's final album Blackstar, and of course, Joanne from my beloved Lady Gaga.

The critics all seem to say that Beyonce's Lemonade was the greatest disc of the year, but i haven't heard it... seems a bit too hip for the likes of me.

Also, i steadily gathered every album by the band Yes, which are eternal, transcendent, and corny to varying degrees. Are you aware of them?  They are magical.

Stupidest Thing That Happened in 2016:  Well, the people of the USA appear to have lost their minds and elected an unqualified, cruel, greedy, sexist, ignorant, spoiled, idiotic, dishonest psychopath to lead them.  Even before taking office, his proposed Cabinet of vulture capitalists and plutocrats indicates that the central theme of his campaign -- helping the working class -- was nothing but a transparent scam to milk votes from the gullible and desperate.  Perhaps even worse, warnings from the intelligence community about his "frightening incompetence" have raised concerns over the basic safety of the nation and our effectiveness on the world stage.  At this point, the only realistic prognosis for a Trump presidency is somewhere between "four years of open corruption" and "spectacular flameout."  Whatever happens, the only bright spot is that he might end up damaging the Republican Party in the process.

Artistic Triumph of the Year: Despite all the stuff going on, it was a pretty terrific year for drawing.  I got a LOT done.  And here are a few other drawings that i feel turned out well...
The Elemental Mages II by Chronorin  Tiamab's Crew: Malicon by Chronorin  Dinoaur! by Chronorin  Across Two Worlds by Chronorin  Rita Repulsa by Chronorin  Symbiote IX: Zaafirah by Chronorin  Who's your Favorite CreepyFreak Girl? by Chronorin  Arachne's Embrace by Chronorin  Ellen Olivia MacNamara by Chronorin

What were my five most popular drawings of the year?
1. Rise Kujikawa: Calorie Magic IV by Chronorin  2. Rise Kujikawa: Calorie Magic III by Chronorin 3.  Rise Kujikawa: Calorie Magic V by Chronorin  4. Rise Kujikawa: Calorie Magic I by Chronorin

5. Rise Kujikawa: Calorie Magic II by Chronorin ....uhhh, i'm sensing a trend.  Wow, Fat Rise Kujikawa was the most popular thing i drew all year.  Huh.

Disappointments of the Year: I'm a bit let down that not many people seemed interested in the Slime Furries. I mean, they're SLIME and they're FURRIES.  What more could you possibly want?  Also, i guess i wish my Youtube Channel was getting a bit more love.

I also owe an apology to :iconthechitinousteen: TheChitinoiusTeen, :iconaraghenxd: AraghenXD, and :icongeneral-sci: General-Sci... i promised them a Grafters fanart, and although i started some sketches, they looked pretty bad and i never had the chance to do better ones.  I WILL draw the Grafters at some point.  I'm sorry, guys, i've just been buried lately.

>__<

Also, i didn't start learning Zbrush like i meant to... i guess that's a 2017 goal, then.

Oh, 2017.  I have high hopes for you.  You know, 2009 and 2013 were both very great years for me, so, mathematically, it seems i have a great year every four years, right?  Now that my life has settled from the weird upheavals of 2016, let's just chug ahead and make 2017 an insanely productive and splendid year.

Woo!!!

First goal of 2017:
Reconfigure and re-cajigger my Patreon to make a $5.00 tier and a $10.00 tier.  More on that soon... if ten bucks a month is too much (and i totally understand,) maybe five bucks a month would be more doable?

Hey Everybody!

I seem to pick up a few new watchers every day, which is great. For the sake of people who haven't been watching me that long, I just wanted to say thank you for watching, and here are some things you should know about me. The basics, you know.

I AM CHRONORIN. At least on the Internets. In real life, I'm some random dude who who works a shit job and lives in Bumfuck, Egypt.

I support my artmaking with a Patreon that you can find here: www.patreon.com/marclhommedieu

While most of my stuff is free, I reward my patrons with some exclusive sexy content every month. Here are the four bonus pic sets I've done so far...

Trakeena's Metamorphosis by Chronorin  Tasty Paste Sequence on Gumroad by Chronorin  Sailor Scout Transformations at Gumroad by Chronorin
Usagi's Inflation Comic on Gumroad by Chronorin  Slime Furries on Gumroad by Chronorin
People can also buy them separately on Gumroad: gumroad.com/chronorin but they're always cheaper for Patrons. This month, every patron is getting a Symbiote and an Usagi Puko-ification Balloon Comic. Next month? I'm thinking Slime Furries.

August -- Symbiote Request Roll Call! (Updated)

Journal Entry: Sun Jul 31, 2016, 10:09 AM
Locations of Site Visitors

Hey Everybody!

Okay, it's almost August 1st, and that means...

PATRON SYMBIOTE REQUEST ROLL CALL!!!!

^__^

Yes. With the additions of a certain Stu Pidface, I now have ten patrons on Patreon. Each and every one of you is, of course, entitled to a free symbiote request. About half of you have already told me what you want, but if you want to change any aspects of your request, feel free to let me know. As for the rest of you guys... let me know what you want, either in a comment or a note?

Here is the List so far!
(started)
Maetch: Naru Osaka Symbiote
  Tasakeru 828: Cure Fortune Symbiote
AdamTheJoker: Rise Kujikawa Shadow Symbiote
HopalongTom: Tamitha-Deoxys Symbiote
Autopilot633: Sedusa Symbiote
Zoe-the-Pink-Ranger: Sailor Jupiter Green Symbiote

(not started)
   MEgamanred: Riena Symbiote
AraghenXD: Zoe Perversion Symbiote
Stu Pidface: Usagi Inflation Sequence
Autopilot633: Trakeena Commission
AdamTheJoker: Mitsuru Kurijo Sequence
Uberlord01: Malarynthia III

That's only seven... am i forgetting someone? Other patrons, let me know what you want!

A few more things -- since these are requests as opposed to bonus content that I come up with personally, i would like to pose them here on DeviantArt.

Also.... i'd be lying if i said i could do all ten of them in August. Ten drawings is a lot, and the last thing i want to do is rush them or do some cookie-cutter bullshit. So i'm sure Symbiote Month will extend into September just a bit... but i should have some time to make some more bonus content for my patrons in the time-- perhaps some of the characters from my most recent poll -- Spider-Gwen, Mosquito Girl, Korra perhaps?

Also!

Both and Uber Lord and a Stu Pidface have inquired about commissions. While i'll be pretty busy with all these Symbiotes, i can certainly try to start at least one of them in this time. I guess it comes down to whomever gets the info to me first?

We shall see. It's gonna be great, whatever happens.

And oh, of course, there are still a couple of Sailor Moon transformations still to come. The Akumuda Scouts are posted, and the Iguara Scouts... well, haven't started on that one yet.
I dunno, is Iguara the best youma to choose? There's also Thetis, U-Chouten, the Doom and Gloom Girls... Iguara would be good for variety, unless something else just jumps out at me.

(As a side note, 12 people have purchased the Daisy & Gosalyn Sequence on Gumroad. I am... I am very happy. I hope everyone who purchased it likes it as much as i do.)

So yes, that's the plan.

I'm going to be very busy, and that's a good thing.

Here are my videos that I am also making!

August is SYMBIOTE MONTH for Patrons!

Journal Entry: Sun Jul 17, 2016, 7:25 PM

Locations of Site Visitors

Hey Everybody!

Okay, it's like this. After some technical delays and frustrations, i'm back on track and working like crazy to finish the four Sailor Moon drawings for my patrons before the end of July. It's possible that i won't get them all posted until August, but... hey, quality is more important than speed, right?

AS FOR AUGUST!!!

August will be Symbiote Month.  Here's how it works. I currently have 6 patrons. In return for their monthly pledge, each of my lovely, well-groomed patrons will receive a drawing of a symbiote character from me. Any character you want, male or female, decked out in a skintight suit of your choice. Obviously we're probably thinking of sexy characters, but if you want to request Donald Duck in a symbiote suit, hey, it's your dime. I'll do it to the best of my ability!

If you want in on this, support me on Patreon before August 1st!

My Patreon: www.patreon.com/marclhommedieu

Ten bucks for a symbiote, that ain't a bad deal.

Hmmm, i suppose i need to announce this on patreon, because while i assume that all of my patrons follow me here, i can't be sure.

Boy, am i gonna be busy. Symbiotes, dude. Symbiotes.

And look!

I made another nerdy video on the continuing Ghostbusters controversy. The movie is out and the critics are raving -- it's mediocre! It's acceptable! IT'S BETTER THAN NOTHING, YOU HATERS!

MWAAAH HAA HAAAAAA!!!!

.
.

......
Current Movies: Uhhhh...... Not Ghostbusters, that's for damned sure.
Current TV show: ....uhh.... too busy for that mess.
Current Tunes: I never realized this before, but "Dreams" by Van Halen is a kick-ass tune.
Current Foods: Spicy rice and beans.
Current Drinks: Red wine.
Currently Feeling: ...like i want to make lots of videos.

Good News! Bad News!

AAAARGH.

2016, seriously? Seriously, 2016? How many more complications can throw my way?

Okay, here is the bad news.

My laptop... my beloved Dell XPS M1530 laptop that i've been using almost every day since 2008.... seems to have died. It's frozen, repeated blue screen of death, can't load nothing, Safe Mode is useless, can't reinstall anything.

So sudden. Why. Why now? This is my first laptop. It's been like a friend for the last eight years. Almost every drawing you see in my gallery was done primarily on this machine.

>____<

I feel like weeping.

Anyway, what this means is that everything i've been working on is paused. Most crucially, the 4-part Rise Kujikawa commission for AdamTheJoker. It's 50% done.

I'm looking into getting back on track as SOON as possible. Hopefully, this month's Patreon drawings won't be far behind.

Arrrrrrrgh.

So what's the good news?

Well, i actually am kind of learning to make videos. Slowly. Here's the last three i made before the crash!

^__^

Crap... am i going to have to buy a new laptop?

It's just... after everything else this year. Why now. Why ever.

Mmmmmmmmph.

Patreon and Gumroad! (New Sense of Hope)

Journal Entry: Tue Jun 28, 2016, 9:59 AM

What a great day this has been!  Honestly, I'm beaming like somebody's mum.

^___^

As you probably know, I've recently set up a Patreon account for those who want to support my work -- for $10 per month, you get access to a bonus set of sexy pics every month.

www.patreon.com/marclhommedieu

...in addition to that, I've set up an account on Gumroad, so that people who might only like SOME of what I do purchase the sets on an individual basis.

gumroad.com/chronorin

Yes!

I put my Daisy & Gosalyn Tasty Paste Sequence up last night, as well as the Trakeena pictures from May... and SO FAR I'VE MADE FOUR SALES.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Not just for being willing to pay actual money for my work.  For giving me a new sense of hope.

Please don't think that me charging money all of a sudden is just me being greedy.  This is... a necessary change and a matter of survival at this point.  (I've spent so much money in recent months keeping my car running and moving with my brother... oh, it's heartbreaking.)

I am not a fancy man.  I don't waste money on having fun and taking vacations and buying drugs.  I just want to draw, and keep drawing.

And.... it's like this.  All these years that I've been on DeviantArt, I've been drawing with the mindset that one day, after so much practice, I'd someone magically find some dream job.  Get hired by a large company to do a specific job 40 hours a week.  Move to California or New York...

...but that dream never materialized.  At this point, having just moved... well, it's not like I could pack up and move to California anyway.

This new economy we're living in, it's different.  I've come around to the notion that I need to do this on my own.  That I have to establish my own brand.  Freelance as hard as i can, use all these great digital tools at our disposal.  Make my own... thing.  Wherever it leads.

These four sales have boosted my spirits so much.  THANK YOU.

I still fully believe in paying for art that matters to you.  While i don't buy as many albums as i used to, i pay for the ones i really want.  The new Radiohead that just came out?  I paid for it.  Hopefully, you guys feel the same way.

As for my patrons... oh, you guys, i am just beginning.  I have so many ideas and so many things i want to draw for you.  July will be the month of Sailor Moon Transformations, as promised.

How about a month where each of my patrons can choose any character to be turned into a sleek black Symbiote?

How about some corrupted metallic Zelda characters?

As usual, i'd love to hear from anyone who has suggestions!  Tell me what you guys want!

^___^

THESE NEXT YEARS ARE GOING TO BE INSANELY GREAT.  I CAN FEEL IT.  BEHOLD MY ALL-CAPS EXCITEMENT!!!!

And yeah, i'll still be posting as much as I can for free on DeviantArt.  Hopefully, I'll be able to win you over in time.

Man.... i love that new Radiohead album.  A Moon Shaped Pool.  It's amazing.

I never really got involved in the whole "Gamergate" fiasco.  As someone who never plays videogames, I didn't really understand what the issue was, and didn't much care.  However, I do feel personally invested in what is coming to be known as...

!!! GHOSTBUSTERSGATE !!!

...why?  Because I do watch a lot of movies.  I love a lot of movies and there are a lot of movies that I dislike.  There are many reasons why people like and dislike the movies they do, and these reasons are entirely personal.  Some of my favorite movies are bizarre oddities that no critic would call great (Project A-Ko, The Legend of Billie Jean, Rock and Rule) and I dislike a great number of movies that are critically acclaimed (Argo, The Pianist), and I LOATHE a number of movies that are very popular (Jurassic World, every Transformers movie ever.)

Taste is subjective.  We all know this.

So, like any rational person, I'm flabbergasted at the negative reaction to the negative reaction that many people feel towards this new Ghostbusters reboot.  The ultra-liberal SJW crowd has declared, in no uncertain terms, that anyone who says this movie looks like an aborted dog turd is.... wait for it... sexist.

Nonsense.

Come on, look at me.  I tend to like female protagonists as much, if not more, than male ones.  Just as the Spoony One recently tweeted, when it became apparent that both Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Rogue One featured female heroes, I didn't even notice their gender.  Why would someone like me who watches The Legend of Korra and Steven Universe even notice, let alone object to, having female characters in a movie?

I roundly mocked Aaron "Captain Capitalism" Clarey and the other MRA goons when they whined about Imperator Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road.

I worked on a feminist art & poetry magazine in college, for goodness' sake.

I'm not a card-carrying feminist or Social Justice Warrior, but you cannot call me a sexist or a misogynist.

And yet, that's what's happening.  I'm surprised at the articles I've seen on reputable websites that ooze with SJW hatred.  Anyone who doesn't like the shitty Ghostbusters trailer is labeled a "manbaby" or said to be "throwing a tantrum."

It's the other way around, babies.

The ultra-left culture warriors have become so trapped in their bubbles that they can no longer tolerate anyone who disagrees with their highly personal opinions.  I would challenge them -- watch the Ghostbusters trailer again, but now imagine that the four female leads have been replaced by the four guys from Hot Tub Time Machine, and that Chris Hemsworth's dimwitted secretary has been replaced by... oh, say, Kate Upton.  Does it still seem like a good movie to you?

I thought not.

Look, I understand the reasons why the special snowflakes are acting out.  Long before these trailers were released, the very notion of "female Ghostbusters" became a point of pride for the Social Justice crowd.  I recall seeing a headline nearly a year ago showing an early promotional still with the caption "This will be your new favorite movie!"  That's a bold claim that is not likely to be true for many people.  And believe me, I understand what it's like to want a movie to be good, or great, despite all evidence to the contrary.

Remember The Phantom Menace?  Like most Star Wars fans, I had a pretty huge emotional stake in that film.  In the theater, the very experience of it was exciting enough to trick me into thinking it was good.  After viewing it at home... hoo boy, did the shine wear off.  I tried to rationalize it.  It will all make sense as part of a trilogy!  Lucas is deliberately creating a childlike atmosphere that will make the later installments seem darker in comparison!  You must have retained a sense of childlike wonder to get it!

The Phantom Menace was not the first time i've been let down.  You have no idea how much I wanted Batman & Robin to be a good movie.  Or Super Mario Brothers.  I wanted to love them, but... man, those were stinkers.  Heartbreaking failures on every level. The best that can be said for them is that they're so horrendous that we can now revel in their badness and laugh at them together.  Maybe one day, Ghostbusters will be so bad that it's good.  But for right now, it just looks baaaaaad.

The thing is, when people said that The Phantom Menace sucked hard, I didn't berate them or call their morals into question.  I said... yeah, you might be right.

The hysterical defensiveness of the Ghostbusters apologists reminds me of the way that right-wing Christians act whenever some new, shitty religious film like God's Not Dead or Heaven Is Real gets panned.  People who don't like it are anti-Christian!  I think it's great!  It really is great!  Okay, it's not great but I have to defend it and support it!

I would talk about the hilarious defensiveness and obstinance that conservatives exhibited over the massive failure of the Atlas Shrugged film series, but... oh, hell, those are so forgotten you wouldn't even know what I was referring to.

These similarities in reaction are not coincidental.  More and more, Social Justice Warriors remind me not of liberals like myself, but of Conservative Christians.  (Not normal Christians, the really, really Bible-thumpy ones.) You might say that their worldviews are as opposed as can be, but "worldviews" are only a small part of what makes a person.  Humans only have a certain range of behaviors and mentalities, and these cut across random cultural barriers all the time...

...think about it for a moment.  Conservative Christians believe that all humans are born "with sin."  That all normal human appetites and activities are inevitably tainted by "sin."

Social Justice Warriors believe that all humans are "oppressive" and "culturally conditioned" to oppress one another, and that all normal human appetites and activities are tainted by this.

Conservative Christians believe that one must always be on guard against sin.  Every lustful action, every venal impulse must be denied with prayer and self-restraint.  And in most cases, the thought alone is as bad as the transgression -- looking at your neighbor's wife is just as bad as actually sleeping with her!

Social Justice Warriors believe that one must constantly "check one's privilege" and subject every potentially offensive thought or action to a rigorous self-examination -- using offensive language and mansplaining are just as bad as rape!

Both Conservative Christians and Social Justice Warriors are humorless, moralizing scolds who declare all people fallen, imperfect, and misguided, and only through bowing to their demands can anyone be saved.  And while Christians offer the specter of eternal bliss, Social Justice Warriors offer... I don't know, a lifetime of being inoffensive and hideously neurotic and boring?

They're the same sort of people, just with different labels.

ANYWAY!!!!

I wonder if anyone read all that.

In conclusion: if you hear anyone claiming that the only people who dislike the new Ghostbusters movie are misogynists, call them out on their knee-jerk idiocy.  Ask them to watch the trailer for Paul Blart: Mall Cop and when they say it's horrible, accuse them of being a sizeist who hates all fat people, or something.

Hey, that reminds me!

Did you know that they're also doing a modern reboot of The Rocky Horror Picture Show?

....hmm.

I'm a huge fan of the original, of course.  I even dressed up in silly clothes and went to the midnight showings in my youth.

My reaction to this?  More positive than my reaction to the new Ghostbusters.  Sure, I feel its probably unnecessary, since the original is still great, and it looks like they're doing a faithful shot-by-shot remake -- an homage, really -- rather than lazily rebooting the story.  I find that more palatable, for whatever reason.  I assume the songs will be the same?

Probably unnecessary.  I don't think kids will understand the appeal of Rocky Horror in a modern world where porn and sleaze are readily available, but hey, have a crack at it.  I'm willing to watch it with an open mind.  Who is that playing Dr. Frank-N-Furter, is that a man or a woman?  I DON'T CARE.

Unlike the Ghostbusters trailer, it doesn't make me cringe and shrivel up into a ball.

I'd love to hear what you guys think.

Hey!

HEY!!!!

This is it, guys.  The moment I've been gibbering and musing about randomly over the last few months.  May 2016 is officially the month where I become a...

PATREON ARTIST

...why?

Because I feel my skills are good enough.  Because I need to find a way to make some sort of money with this drawing thing.  Because while I've been doing landscapes and such in order to build my portfolio, I want to get back to the cute and sexy transformation stuff that won me so many fans in the first place!

Here is my Patreon Page: www.patreon.com/marclhommedieu…

For now, I want to keep things simple.  I don't want to mess around with line arts, .PSD files, tutorials, and other things because I just don't feel like there's much demand for them. (In all of my years here, I've never had anyone ask for these things.  If I'm mistaken, please let me know...)  So my simple offer is this -- I humbly ask you to support me to the tune of $10/month.  In exchange, every month I will create an exclusive series of 3-5 drawings that will be posted only on Patreon.  What kinds of drawings?  The stuff you want.  No landscapes, no graphics, no silly photomanipulations or pics of my own characters...

...I'm talking about slime girls.  Transformations.  Fanarts of popular characters.  Things like this!

SCP-811 by Chronorin  Perfect Oni Sakurin by Chronorin  April the Banana Slug 2012 by Chronorin  Mercury and Jupiter: Jellax by Chronorin  Alyssa VI by Chronorin  Bree and Tessera II by Chronorin Synthea 2007 by Chronorin  Synthea's Transformation by Chronorin  Garden Slug Girl II by Chronorin  Terra: I am the Reign by Chronorin  B-Ko Daitokuji by Chronorin   Vile III: Masked by Chronorin

...the things that people keep ASKING me to draw, that I sometimes don't have time for.

Ten dollars.  That's about 33 cents per day.  To help this struggling artist maybe work less overtime.

(I do it, too.  I shell out $10/month to another artist here, and $10/month to the Drunken Peasants Podcast.)

In addition to the 3-5 sexy drawings, patrons will also receive a discounted rate on commissions -- for a single commission, patrons only pay $20 while non-patrons pay $40.  Furthermore, suggestions from patrons for each month's theme will certainly be given extra consideration by me.

What do you think I should draw?  Korra and Asami?  SCP creatures?  Venom symbiotes?  Jellax?  Another massive set of transformation sequences like the Naruto Oni Project where characters mutate and merge together?  More pics of the Naruto Onis in different scenarios?

I want to hear what my audience would like from me.  There are characters and fandoms that I'm not even aware of until someone clues me in.  If you like what you've seen from me in the last few years, I can promise you that the best is yet to come.

^____^

So!

Today is May 1st.  You're sitting there asking, hey Chronorin, if I sign up at any point in the month of May, what REWARD will I receive on June 1st?

I'm glad you asked.  For my very first Patreon Reward Pack, I plan on doing a very cool set of Trakeena pics.  Remember this image from earlier in the year that was commissioned by :iconautopilot633: Autopilot633?

Trakeena: Green Form by Chronorin

...I will draw Trakeena's other four incarnations in this exact pose.  Normal Trakeena, Armored Trakeena, Evil Trakeena, and Masked Trakeena, all kneeling like this and looking totally bad-ass.  I've already just started on the lines, and they look nifty.

But that's not all!

I also plan on doing new pictures of the NEW Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks for the win) as well as as INSARN, who is just an amazing looking character.  That's right, it's a Power Rangers-themed Patreon Month!

What do you think?

Are you interested?

You know you are.

Everyone likes Trakeena.

^____^

Support Chronorin on Patreon.

Help me work less overtime.

Less overtime = more drawings.

The April of Absolute Chaos

Journal Entry: Sun Apr 3, 2016, 9:34 AM

Okay!

You know, i tried my best to SAVOR every single minute of February and March.  I even spent the last five weeks working at good old KRH, which is pretty much my favorite place in the entire world.  But alas... no matter how i focused my mind, no matter how much i willed time to crawl...

...here we are.

April.

Tomorrow, we start painting the inside of my brother's new house, and redoing the counters it would seem.  Even though i don't own much besides an assload of CD's and books and movies, there's still quite a few boxes to fill.

While i have at least eight in-progress works to fiddle on, i don't expect to put pencil to paper for the next month.

We have until April 30th to get fully moved.  Lots of time.  It's going to be a process.

So... you may not see much from me this month.  Some, sure, but not my usual.

^___^

But hey!

Everything begins again in May.

Start thinking about what i could possibly draw to get you tempted enough to join my Patreon.  Just ask yourself, "I would pay $10/month if Chronorin would draw..."

I'm open to ideas.

LET'S DO THIS.  APRIL, YOU WILL BE DEFEATED.  RAAAAARGH!!!!!!

Oncoming Ultimate Devastation Strike

Journal Entry: Wed Mar 2, 2016, 1:34 AM

Locations of Site Visitors

So hey!

First off, here's a bit of fun.  My friend and i, we like to send funny drawings to The Drunken Peasants Podcast for their mail segment.  This week, they opened an envelope containing my recent photoshop of them as Star Trek characters, along with an abominable (but funny) joke drawing i drew a long time ago of a giant fat naked barbarian with a spiked dick sheath...

...yes.  You can see the goodness here:

I mean, it's pretty low-key.  But i just love the thought of TJ, Ben, Scotty, and Paul all seeing my work.  They touch my life, and i touch theirs.  Ohhhhhh yeaaaaaah.

It makes me happy.

.

So what else goes on?

My brother hit a deer with his car on the way home tonight.  He's okay, but his car is pretty messed up.

We're fewer than two months from moving away from here.  I'm still ambivalent about it.  The worst part will be that my drive to work will be even longer now.  And it's already long.  33 mi + 9 mi = 42 mi.  Damnit.

Right now, i'm working on some commissions, trying to finish some more of those character sheets.... but at some point this year, i'm going to have to look around.  Use my brain.  Figure out how to do things differently...

...see, this whole time that i've been posting my work on DeviantArt, i've been under the mindset that i'm practicing, improving my skills, and creating a portfolio in hopes that one day, when i'm good enough, i'll magically get some full-time dream job.  As the years have gone by, i've... had no success with that.  And hell, i don't want to move to California or Florida anyway, those places are horrible.

In the meantime, i see how other artists and other content producers are carving out their own niches, doing things their way, and making a good living without depending on some giant corporation to notice them.  Artists are doing this, as well as video producers like Doug Walker and my beloved Drunken Peasants, Etsy craftspeople, and all other sorts of artists.  Have i been guilty of stodginess?  Old-fashioned thinking?

Could i use my talents in a more canny way, to be a success on my own?

I'd like to set up a Patreon at some point, but i first need a better idea of what i'd create.

I could sell packets of files on E-Junkie.  If i can produce work that people would pay for.

I've always kept my commission rates very low, because there's only so much you can ask of one person.  I'd be much happier if i could get more money from a larger number of people and produce work that appeals to certain fandoms.  Tasakeru828 was mentioning this "Bad End Cure" thing, and i could see myself drawing lots of sexy corruption art.... if people were willing to chip in.

Possibilities are greater now than ever.  I just need to be smart and dedicated enough to find them.

And yes, this might mean that i'd have to stop giving everything away for free here.  That would be painful for me, because it's my natural instinct to just SHARE everything i do so people can SEE it.

What do you think?

Would you pay $5.00 per month to have access to my drawings?  Pay for specialized groups of images, perhaps some delightfully shameless and kinky stuff?

I'd like to know.  Tell me your thoughts.

Everyone always says "sorry, I'm broke," but when i see artists with $1,400 Patreon funds, and artists charging $100 for a single character commission -- it's clear that people are willing to pay for what we do.

2016: What the Hell happens now?

...man.  Is it already the end of January?  This new year is 1/12 gone already?

HRRRRRRMMMMMMRAAAAAAAAAH.

I had a lot of big ambitions in 2015 that never came to pass.  I swore that 2015 was going to be the year that i did something different.  It would be the year that i got a new job, became a real artist, and just.... change my life in some substantial way.

Didn't really pan out.

2016... well, i'm making the same goals.  My main goals?

1. Write, draw, and color an actual REAL first issue of a comic book.  Interchange City #1.  So i can show it to publishers to prove that, at the least, i'm qualified to be a colorist.

2. Start a Youtube channel with my best friend.  We've spent so much time in the last few years following all these Youtubers and seeing all the interesting stuff that can happen.  We have all these writings, all this stuff we talk about... and we need an audience.  It's not good enough to just shout it into the void anymore.

3.  Buy a new computer, and get my hands on Zbrush/Maya and begin using programs other than Photoshop.

But first!

Something else is going to change.

Because of circumstances beyond my control, it looks like i'll be moving to a new place, in a new town, not too far from here.

Overall, it will probably be a positive change.  But it will take time, money, and effort.  The next two months are going to be harsh.  But once i'm set up in the new place... which will be a larger space... that's when i buy the new computer and start doing new things.

This year, i will start doing new things.  New things.  By December of this year, i don't want to look back and say, meh, i ended up with 90 drawings of varying quality.  Not bad, not bad.  No.  This year must be different.

Wish me luck.

What are your plans for 2016?
