Not just for being willing to pay actual money for my work. For giving me a new sense of hope.

Please don't think that me charging money all of a sudden is just me being greedy. This is... a necessary change and a matter of survival at this point. (I've spent so much money in recent months keeping my car running and moving with my brother... oh, it's heartbreaking.)

I am not a fancy man. I don't waste money on having fun and taking vacations and buying drugs. I just want to draw, and keep drawing.

And.... it's like this. All these years that I've been on DeviantArt, I've been drawing with the mindset that one day, after so much practice, I'd someone magically find some dream job. Get hired by a large company to do a specific job 40 hours a week. Move to California or New York...

...but that dream never materialized. At this point, having just moved... well, it's not like I could pack up and move to California anyway.

This new economy we're living in, it's different. I've come around to the notion that I need to do this on my own. That I have to establish my own brand. Freelance as hard as i can, use all these great digital tools at our disposal. Make my own... thing. Wherever it leads.

These four sales have boosted my spirits so much. THANK YOU.

I still fully believe in paying for art that matters to you. While i don't buy as many albums as i used to, i pay for the ones i really want. The new Radiohead that just came out? I paid for it. Hopefully, you guys feel the same way.

As for my patrons... oh, you guys, i am just beginning. I have so many ideas and so many things i want to draw for you. July will be the month of Sailor Moon Transformations, as promised.

How about a month where each of my patrons can choose any character to be turned into a sleek black Symbiote?

How about some corrupted metallic Zelda characters?

As usual, i'd love to hear from anyone who has suggestions! Tell me what you guys want!
