IT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING THING I'VE EVER SEEN, SQUEEEEE!!!!
I loved it! I never thought they'd be able to even do that.
I had another ending in mind, but it was still really good and, hell, pretty daring.
At first i was, like, wut really? But the more i think about it, the more it makes sense...
I have nothing against equality, but do feel a bit of reservation about having something like this in a show that is aimed primarily at kids and teens.
I have a problem with it, actually. Being gay is not okay.
I mean, it wasn't built up enough. Who cares if Korra blushed that one time? It still came out of nowhere.
This is evil. The gay agenda has gone too far. I'm sickened by this. Fuck Korra, fuck the gays. Think i'm a homophobe? Good. I am.
Poor Mako... poor, poor Mako...
I don't care/don't know what you're talking about.

I give the creative team credit for doing something rather bold for an American cartoon series, especially one you'd consider to be a family show, though I have to agree with the Nostalgia Critic that its kinda sad that a move like that is considered a big deal in this day & age when Japanese anime has delved into gay & bi couplings for years, even in Sailor Moon.

Also, while I certainly take no issue with Korra & Asami being bi, & get that they had to be subtle about it or else Nick wouldn't have allowed it to air, I honestly did get the feeling that they threw it in at the last minute to appease the fanshippers. I did hear that they had actually meant for this pairing to have begun even earlier than season 4, way back in season 3, & if that was indeed the case I again get they had to be subtle about it, but honestly...I never found Asami to be particularly interesting or close to Korra until the very end (out of the original four teens, she really did get the least attention beyond what her company could provide the heroes). During seasons 1 & 2 she was merely Korra's romantic rival & honestly they could have cut her out once the love triangle was finally put to rest, but then during season 3 they pushed her as a new BFF for Korra, one who was convenient to keep around because of her wealth & techno savy...But I never saw them as anything romantic & thought most fans were just having fun shipping them the same way they've done with previous avatar characters. I got the feeling that they were trying to make Korra & Asami closer than before since Mako had blown his chances with both ladies & Bolin was then being paired with Opal, but with everything else going on during season 3, even then I didn't think of Korra & Asami as being besties despite being on better terms with each other, let alone a couple.

So basically the idea of them being a couple, while certainly progressive for an American cartoon, doesn't excite me as much as it should because I don't consider Asami very interesting, she's kinda bland much like Mako got after he & Korra split up & he became the new butt monkey of the series lol. Personally, if Bolin hadn't latched on to Opal, I would have liked to have seen her as Korra's new BFF/love interest since she just has more of a personality to me & none of the baggage that comes from formerly being in a love triangle against Korra lol.

So yeah, I'm fine with the ending & impressed by it, but I'm not going "Squeee!" over it like others are XD, still cool though. If the series were rebooted someday in the future, or retold in comic book form without TV censor issues, I think the love triangle could have been made more interesting if Asami & Mako had been competing for Korra against each other instead, or, again, if Opal had become Korra's new love interest instead of Bolin's.

P.S. what did ya think of Kuvira's motivation for rising up or how she ultimately surrendered in the end?
