I wouldn't call calling trump a liar repeatedly whilst displaying everything but Trump as the savior as particularly informative (eventhough I don't like Trump I would like him to be attacked on actual issues and realistically compared to the rather horrific alternatives rather than 'he's a big meanie poopie head') but if you feel the need to express yourself in a certain way then I'd be the last person to stop you.

I like them. If other people don't, they can just unwatch them and still get to see your art and stuff, right? After the election I actually unwatched a European artist I really liked because he made a journal entry about how happy he was Trump won. Because brown immigrants and all that. If it hadn't been for the subsequent pro-Trump art I would have just unwatched the journals.

Okay, cool.  I know how you feel -- i had to unfollow the beautiful and lovely BeyondPhere on Twitter because of her endless pro-Trumpery.

Seriously, these kids in the UK and Australia, lecturing us on our politics?  They all had the idea in their head that Trump was going to be new and exciting and somehow less corrupt, and the only reason you would reject him was that you were too politically correct or whatever.  They don't have any understanding of the Republican Party, Congressional power, and the simple fact that Trump was lying.

Bunch of wankers, really.

The guy was either Dutch or Austrian, I think. I wanted to mention something about what a shame it was someone from a country that had concentration camps could still be so xenophobic but I didn't. All these Brits and others on social media trying to explain to Americans why the GOP isn't that bad. >_< Like, try living in a country where so many members of the conservative party don't even believe in climate change.

That's pretty much it.  Europe actually does have some immigration issues they need to fix, and they automatically assume the US is in a similar situation.  We're not.

I appreciate the information, although I wish people (not just you, everybody) would stop using status updates on DA, because they suck for all the readers... at least if they're read on a desktop, like I do... they may be slightly better on the phone app (which I don't use)... but they have huge problems either way, like there's no archive -- no place to go see older status updates, etc. etc. etc...

Hmm... they do seem more convenient than journals.  Journals seem more long-term, but a status update is a nice "here's what i'm thinking today" sort of thing.  I can go back on my front page and see recent ones going back a bit, but not too far.

I'll have to think about this.

One of the other things that really bugs me about the status updates is that they don't even have the same basic functionality as any of the other things in the message center. When I have a stack of status updates, I can't view the latest one and hit "remove from notifications" to move to the next one when I'm done reading it, because DA didn't bother to add that button. So the easiest (which is to say, not easy) way to navigate them is to open them in a new tab, because the only way to remove them from notifications is when you're not currently reading them.

They're also, unlike all other forms of notification, not un-watchable. I personally never unwatch Journals because I want to talk to people. So for some people who might be fans of your art but don't feel like they have the time to read journals or status updates, they're not allowed to un-sub from them -- they're forced to manually delete them every time you post a status.

I'll be honest, I skim through them from time to time, but DA is one of my coping mechanisms to suppress the feeling that we're fraked, so I generally give them a pass.

HOWEVER,

I fully support your right to your opinions and if it fires your creative passions to deliver us sexy, cute TF art then by all means, TIP THAT SENTIENT ORANGE JULIUS OVER!

I'm... sorry to say, but I haven't checked them out yet.

It's just... things like University have not only kept me busy, but I've gotten through family stuff that not only gives me an aversion to politics, but makes it hard to tell what is the truth or not. So, I do think I should check them out, but I don't know if this is the best time.

Still, I'd say keep on making these-they're your passion and you have a right to make them!

Like art, you must do what you are inspired to do, what fires your passions.  While I don't agree with what you say, I will defend your ability to do so.  :)
